residencies - Work Space Brussels

Language

residencies

The axes of the workspacebrussels mission consist of providing young artists with a residency and a working period, and proper support for their early creations. This support is customized according to the specific needs of the artist and his project.

spaces

Workspacebrussels does not have an infrastructure of its own and can therefore not offer technical assistance.
In consultation with our partners (Kaaitheater, Rosas and Brigittines) we make a choice for a suitable space based on the specificities of the project. These spaces may vary from an office for research projects or a bare dance studio for the early stages of creation, to an equipped theatre space for finishing and presenting the work (more information under spaces).

dramaturgical support

Along with a team of dramaturges, artists and critics we also provide dramaturgical support. In addition, SARMA organizes a series of workshops and labs concerning discursive practices, artistic knowledge and secondary aspects of creation.

applications

We don't maintain a fixed deadline for applying for support or presenting a new project. You can e-mail your proposals at wsb@workspacebrussels.be. Please keep in mind that we receive many files on a daily basis. Hence, an answer could be somewhat delayed.

applications should include:

  •  a clear project description
  • curriculum vitae
  • planning & partners
  • timing of the residency
  • type of space you need
