Dianne is originally from Sydney, Australia and after finishing her Bachelor of Arts training the University of Western Sydney she has since gone to appear in many television, theatre, radio and film productions, both in the commercial and contemporary worlds. Along with this she is busy working as a presenter and teacher of singing, voice both for actors and business.
She has performed in the the UK: Young Vic London, Theatre Royal Bath, Battersea Arts Centre, Contemporary Opera Festival London, The London Palladium Theatre, in Belgium : the Kaaitheater Brussels, La Raffinerie Brussels, STUK Leuven, Theatre Marni, Brussels, de Singel, Antwerp, Vooruit, Gent, CC Brugge, Brugge, in Norway: bit Teatergarasjen, Bergen, the Theatre Garden, Trondheim, in Poland : the Malta Festival, Poznan, in Australia: The Enmore Theatre Sydney Australia, The Darlinghurst Theatre Sydney Australia, and Theatre Nepean Australia, along with many concerts in France.
In Television for the BBCand Southern Star Productionsand for Radio for2MMMSydney Australia. In film for Kennedy/Miller Productions, elektrikzoo Productions, and Marie José Burki video artist. She has also performed at many vernissages as a performing artist, including the Museum Dhondt-DhaenensBelgium & NSW Art GallerySydney Australia, & many others with the work of artist Marie José Burki in her various guises of performer.
Shortly after deciding to leave Australia after finishing her studies, went to London and found herself submerged mostly into theatre & music and continued her vocal studies in Musical Theatre and Classical voice with Mark Meylan and Dina Harris respectively.
Dianne then moved to Brussels Belgium she continued her classical work, firstly with Dynah Byrant and with Alexandra Parris Stone at La Monnaie. She is also working in contemporary theatre, most recently performing & in the capacity of Vocal Coach and Musical Assistant to direction at the Malta Festival in Poznan, Poland. Dianne also founded and set up the a capella ensemble the PushUps which is a group of 5 woman from around the globe singing alternative rock and pop in a cabaret-burlesque fashion who recently toured in France.
Dianne decided to participate in the one year post masters research programme a.pass based at de Singel arts centre in Antwerp Belgium (www.apass.be) under the a.pt umbrella and focused her research on voice and composition for both text and music and during this time mentored with Voice
Specialist David Moss who is the Artist Director of the Institute for Living Voice (http://www.instituteforlivingvoice.be/). the Passage….is a product of the work she was researching during her year there.
Dianne also works as a Voice Over artist for radio television, cinema and film, and is also the founder and is the director of the PushUps which is an acapella ensemble of Alternative Rock & Pop who perform a cabaret/burlesque show mixing the mediums of singing dancing and acting.
Dianne will be hosting a sound Laboratory shared by other Brussels based artists, & workshops on Sound in terms of Radio Plays and Composition, during a 2 month residency she is sharing with fellow a.pt laureate Kim Lien Desault in April/June of 2011. Dianne’s residency in WorkSpace Brussels in May 2011, will be concentrating on the research of her work into Sound Installation.
