Kaya Kołodziejczyk is part of UNIVERSAL LAW OF IMPERMANENCE (U/LOI)
U/LOI is an independent structure within which different movement/dance improvisations take place. In their group activities, the members of U/LOI are trying to catch and fix our attention on elements of everyday reality, which are lost in the usual way of perception. Body, movement, time, space, quasi-dancing events, organized in visible/invisible way in different spaces are documented as films and photographs. They are being transformed to performances that are taking place in galleries, old factories, and non-theatrical zone. Other group activities are: creating workshops, guiding master classes and teaching various techniques of dance/motion as an element of expression.

In 2007 Kaya took part in the ‚Resonance’ research project supported by ProHelvetia, which afterwards gave an opportunity to create the Universal Law Of Impermanence U/LOI. This is how she became the founder/master mind of the informal group. Numerous complex productions were born like f.ex. Night of 3/free styles, „ Birth Out…", „:PK:". Kaya has graduated from the Roman Turczynowicz National School of Ballet in Warsaw and P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. She is a holder of several scholarships including those of Vlaamse Gemeenschapcommissie/Belgium, Rudolf Nureyev Foundation, DanceWEB and The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage/Poland.She worked/danced/collaborated with a.o.company Rosas/Anne Teresa De Keersameker (2004-2009), Mette Ingvartsen, Kris Verdonck, duo Szymon Rogiński Rafał Dziemidok,Iwona Pasinska,Karol Urbanski , David Wampach. She is a contemporary dance teacher for a.o: Ballet de Marseille, StaatTheatre Kassel, La Raffinerie/Cherleroi-danses, P.A.R.T.S. Belgium, San Diego State University - USA, Giessen University-Germany, TanzLabor Frankfurt am Main, VDC - Canada, ARCHITANZ-Japan, ... From 2009 she is a part and creative board of newly established Commission of Dance in Poland.
Karolina Wolkowiecka/Poland (1975)
has graduated from the National Ballet School in Warsaw. Form 1994 to 1996 she has danced in the National Theatre in Warsaw. In 1996 she was a holder of a scholarship of European Union and Flemish Government for the studies in P.A.R.T.S., Brussels. After her diploma she has participated in several international projects as X-group 2000 and DanceWeb Europe 2005. As a dancer and choreographer she worked among others with Anabel Schelekkens, Kosmas Kosmopoulos, Kris Verdonck, Sato Endo, Greet Vissers, In-Vitro vzw. and Manuela Rastaldi. In 2009 she graduated in dance pedagogy from Artesis - University College of Antwerp. Recently she has been performing with In-Vitro vzw. and The Black Heart Rebellion in a music-theatre "Medea". Currently, she teaches contemporary and classical dance for children, young and adults and creates personals artistic projects. She has been cooperating with U/LOI from 2008.
Joanna Szymajda/Poland (1979).
Currently, she is preparing her PhD on contemporary dance aesthetics at the University of Lodz (Poland) and University Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle (France). She has graduated from psychology department and cultural studies department at the University of Lodz and cross-cultural psychology and theatre at the University Lyon II (France).
She publishes theoretical and critic texts on dance and works as a lecture at the University of Lodz and also as moderator, dramaturge and dance curator.
Herman Venderickx/ Belgium (1968).
Interior architect and a designer. Was a technical director of Dood Paard Amsterdam, Kris Verdonck Brussels. Has been working with various artist, festivals and theatres in Europe a.o Raimund Hogue, Jan Decorte, Thomas Hauert - Zoo, from 1996 in Kaaitheatre Brussels. Herman designed several "X-group" projects in a frame of Brussels 2000 Capital of Culture. With U/LOI, he composed the lights and set for „Birth Out“ and :PK: .
