Bio

pathosformel is a performing art project born in Venice in 2007 to reconsider the image of the human presence on scene and its possibility to be converted in abstract sign, and to work on the relation between animate and inanimate elements in performing art.
In these years pathosformel has presented La timidezza delle ossa (Scenario Prize 2007, UBU Prize 2008), Volta, La più piccola distanza (UBU Prize 2008, Iceberg Prize 2009), La prima periferia, An afternoon love and  Alcune primavere cadono d’inverno (in collaboration with the electronic music group Port-Royal). 
These works have been in these years presented in theatres and festivals, among which: ICA – Institut for Contemporary Art (London); Working Title Platform #02 @Les Brigittines (Brussels); Grec Festival (Barcelona), Centrale Fies (Dro); Musée d’Art Contemporaine de la Ville de Toulon; Noorderzon (Gröningen); Uovo festival (Milano); Tanzfabrik Berlin; VEO Valencia Escena Obierta; FimP (Oporto); Auditorium parco della musica (Roma); Kino Bosna (Sarajevo) and Clipa Aduma (Tel Aviv).
The activities of pathosformel are supported by Centrale Fies in the frame of the Fies Factory project; since 2011 pathosformel is part of APAP European network for performing art.
