Robin Jonsson attended the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm from 1997 to 2003, he studied at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels 2004 to 2008 and from 2010 to 2012 he studied Sound and Music-design.
At P.A.R.T.S. he developed his methods of working where he studied and then choreographed virtual creatures and gestalts from popular culture, mainly drawing from computer games, animations and puppetry, creating an artificial and precise movementvocabulary.
In 2010 he produced and choreographed Simulations, supported by among others BUDA Kunstencentrum, Monty Kunstencentrum and subsidized by the Swedish Arts Council.
Complex sound and music-design has always been present in Robins work, he draws technical and creative inspiration specifically from sound and music in cinematic medias.
