EXPANDING ENERGY
DAVIS FREEMAN
Last updated : 12/06/2011PRINT THIS PAGEOutline
Davis Freeman's exploration during the 6 months is to find ways to prepare people for the tremendous shift that’s necessary to save all our asses. By using the theme “Energy” he’ll aim to go beyond the Climate Change arguments and draw interconnecting lines through politics, religion, science and the body. This will not be an environmental art piece but one that looks at the environment we live in and tries to reflect back what’s actually going on. It will open up doors on issues of Energy Security, question the validity of Gods involvement, test limitations of the physical body, and challenge the solutions to create more sustainable energy for future generations.
Davis and his collaborators aim during their research period to explore “energy” in all of it’s masked faces from the laws themselves to the actual amount of lobbying energy it takes to make or change a law. They hope by digging into the political agendas, scientific possibilities, economic realities and even the physical limitations they’ll be able to challenge, confront and possibly answer some of the questions that are surrounding us today.

Energy! Energy!
The experiments these evenings are the results of an ongoing research project on "Energy" led by Davis Freeman / Random Scream. In collaboration with Jerry Killick, Vincent Malstaf and friends, we’ll reveal new installations, games and lectures that reveal alternative angles to the supposed “Energy debate”. This ongoing research project attempts to create new combinations of science, politics, music and movement that will eventually be realized into a set of conferences for 2011 in Salzburg, Rotterdam, Gent/ Kortijk, and Brussels. Right now though is the third public sharing of our research and please be warned, it’ll be shocking!
