KAJSA SANDSTRÖM & FREDERIC ALSTADT

Outline

In their collaboration Kajsa Sandström and Frédéric Alstadt, together with dancer Ulrika Berg, are displacing relations between sound, dance, and imagination.
The sound of movement in various environements becomes the basis for their work.
Vibration, speed, friction, weight; a body percieved in and conditioned by a space. The sound of movements becomes music which is in turn used as a score for a dance. Together Kajsa, Frédéric and Ulrika are exchanging roles, giving their awareness to each other. While listening they want to build a strong experience where sound is made physical and dance audible.
