RAINBOWPRINT THIS PAGE
In her performance Rainbow, Nazanin Fakoor questions the concept of identity and its multiple facets. Although she’ll be alone on stage, there will be many characters in dialogue with each other, in the same way as rainbows are formed by the reflection, refraction and dispersion of sunlight by raindrops.
This project is born out of the desire to develop a research around reflecting and refracting light and the attempt to create a miniature rainbow. To create this miniature rainbow, Nazanin Fakoor makes an attempt to create an optical effect which cannot be physically approached. A rainbow is not an object and does not exist at a particular location. So how is it actually to touch the end of a rainbow or to be with one alone in a room?
