"SPIRIT" is part of "GENEROSITY / complete availability of body and soul’
The extreme willingness to give, hopefully fuelled by the extreme sensitivity for the other persons needs. Generosity is a project that is directly linked to our previous work ‘Kein applaus fur scheisse’. A work where material is constantly shifting, being replaced and reorganized. The criteria of how and why to make choices are very much intuitive, still by having a closer look at what the key point of achievement would be, the answer is generosity. Therefore this became, instead of an unspoken motivator, the centre point of our new creation. The wish to be generous has something extreme to us, showing the willingness to go to the extreme for your audience. We often use our bodies in a physical demanding way during our performances, that might be ethically challenging to the audience, to eventually come to (in our eyes) beautiful imagery and in that sense hopefully is easy to digest. The little stretch of tension we tend to create between something you ‘don’t want to see’ and something that is beautiful is a very interesting place to be, it all has to do with boundaries, not setting them, but maybe stretching them in a playful manner.
