Visual artists Hans Demeulenaere (Sint-Lucas, Ghent) and Emi Kodama (HISK, Ghent) invite you to their new performance installation to explore the ways that relationships are shaped by the places where people live. For this, Hans has built sculptures inspired by existing domestic spaces, creating an interplay between architecture, design and visual art. These sculptures will be animated by performer Rowena Koh during the performance. Emi will compliment the set by adding a story that links memories of her former homes. Her cinematic storytelling is a journey that takes you through richly-layered imagery that is sometimes comfortable and sometimes alienating. Together, they create an experience that connects you to a living space in transformation through the seasons. M HKA is the second location the project visits, following the first version presented during Working Title Situation #02 at Kaaistudio's. During, Art's Birthday, the project will be shown in a new variation.
