Bio

Danny Neyman (1986) is a performance artist, dancer, and writer, based in Antwerp. He has a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Literature from Tel Aviv University (graduated summa cum laude) and a post-master's degree in Performance Studies from a.pass Brussels.

He was a founding member of the Tel Aviv based queer performance collective Cinema Paradildo and has worked as a dancer and performer with Arkadi Zaides, Public Movement, Yasmeen Godder (with whom he also collaborated on a dance performance for Bat-Sheva Dance Company), and Mette Ingvartsen. He is the translator into English of celebrated Israeli poet Noam Partom, and has translated works by William Blake and John Ruskin into Hebrew.

Since 2015 he has been creating his own performance work, which is based in language and sound and explores relations between literature, writing and the performative space. His works include Helsinki (2016) and Walk in the Park (2019).
