Bio

Since the creation of the duo t.r.a.n.s.i.t.s.c.a.p.e in 2003, the artists and choreographers Pierre Larauza and Emmanuelle Vincent have been exploring movement in hybrid choreographic forms. They propose a decompartmentalized universe where the visual arts meet dance in stage shows, urban and museum performances and dance films.

Pierre Larauza, a doctor of arts and art science, is developing theoretical and practical work on documentary sculpture in which he creates life-size historical reconstructions of mass-mediated physical movements that have marked collective history. Emmanuelle Vincent is a dance instructor at the Faculty of Motor Sciences at UCL. She is currently training in ethology to develop a choreographic work on the relationship between living beings and to reconnect with our animality.

Pierre and Emmanuelle run the dance school La Confiserie in Brussels and also work with Thy Nguyen Truong Minh on a bilateral cooperation project in Vietnam at the University of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City.
