A charming Brussels town house offers space for our office, a lunch annex meeting room, and an atelier for reasearch or collective work outside the studios. Kaaitheater presents, produces and co-produces local and international performing arts productions: from the 1980s to the present, from repertoire to experimental, from small theatre to large. In a world of curators and one-off hits, Kaaitheater offers artists long-term commitment. In the conviction that art is important to man’s well-being, they make a point of relating to society. In Brussels’ canal district, where we see all the world’s issues in a nutshell, artists imagine and model the city of the future.

Before closing its doors for a total renovation, Kanal – Centre Pompidou proposes a unique cultural immersion in the buildings of the former Citröen garage. Doors are open from May 2018 until June 2019 to allow the public to discover an exceptional cultural heritage, rich in history and preserved in its current state. Benefiting from the richness of the collections of the Centre Pompidou, the former Citroën garage will turn into a site hosting several exhibitions mixing visual arts, design, architecture, major installations and creations by Brussels-based artists, as well as a programme of performing-arts shows co-produced for this occasion with many of the city’s cultural actors.
In the summer of 2018, workspacebrussels and Kanal – Centre Pompidou are joining forces for a vibrant residency programme in the capital. In July, August and September, many of the workspacebrussels artists will set to work in the large spaces of the museum at the Sainctelettesquare.
