During the opening of In Praise of Waves Eric Joris (CREW) will submerge you in the world of Tohoku, 2011, Japan. An immersive multimedia installation transports its viewer to Tohoku right after the Wave struck. With the use of interactive 3D glasses, Eric Joris takes you deep into the desolation and devastation after the tsunami hit Japan in 2011.
C.a.p.e. (Computer Automatic Personal Environment) is a groundbreaking presentation format that combines an omni-directional video and cinematic experience with a self-executed performance. C.a.p.e. Tohoku takes you on a 15' walk through the destructive force of the Wave.
