Axelle De Smaele (Brussels, 1987) studied Sociology at the Catholic University of Leuven and later went on to master in Theatre and Film Science (Antwerp). The unique combination of the two was the consolidation of her worldview since childhood.
Axelle has been writing all her life yet has only recently taken the time to develop her notes further.
Reality is creation that lacks poetry
In hollow of hand I cup you; our communal sanity; yoursmine; your words make sense to me – I am sane as long as you understand me – no truth stands on ground; there is mere convention. We had agreed upon the words; a mutual mother tongue of words and syntaxes. We capture sanity yet within it we are hymnless. I do not feel at ease within my own sanity.
