Bára Sigfúsdóttir (1984, Iceland) studied at the Icelandic Academy of Arts, the Amsterdam school of the Arts and P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. The position of the individual in relation to society and nature are recurrent motives in her work. These themes are primordial in a.o. her solos On the other side of a sand dune (2012) and THE LOVER (2015) – awarded with two Icelandic Performing Arts Awards. The impro driven TIDE (2016) saw her working with the composer and trumpet player Eivind Lønning a first time. A year later, she created being, together with Iranian performers Masoumeh Jalalieh and SeyedAlireza Mirmohammadi. A dialogue between the Western European and Iranian culture and societal model. Bára is currently working towards the premiere of FLÖKT – a flickering flow (premiere February 19, 2020), a collaboration with the Icelandic visual artist Tinna Ottesen.
Tinna Ottesen (1980, Iceland) is a spatial storyteller that works with the narrative elements of space within the fields of visual art, design, theatre, dance, performance and film. She has for the last couple of years, worked specifically with lightweight, immersible portable & site specific scenographies. Tinna resides in Iceland. She studied at a.pass in Brussels 2015-16, and lived and studied in Copenhagen 2001-2010.
