From an early stage, Cassiel Gaube has been developing his work as a maker during his study years at P.A.R.T.S. He is currently developing his work at the intersection of the contemporary choreographic field and of Hip hop and Clubbing dances – among which he is particularly working from the practice of House dance. In 2017, he was allowed the VOCATIO fund – a Belgian grant awarded every year to fifteen promising young artists, scientists or social entrepreneurs – in order to develop further his work as a choreographer. He is currently creating a solo crystalizing the research he has developed in the field of Street dances over the last two years. For 2019, he’s been invited by La Ménagerie de Verre (Paris) to be an artist in residence. In that frame he will create a group piece that will develop further the research he started in his solo project. The piece will première at the festival Les Inaccoutumés at La Ménagerie de Verre in November 2019. As a pedagogue, Cassiel is regularly invited to teach professional trainings and workshops for DansCentrumJette, La Raffinerie, PARTS Summer School, La Ménagerie de Verre, and the Inter-University Centre for Dance in Berlin.
