German performance artist Helena Dietrich works and lives in Brussels. After her Master in Visual Communication at the Merz Academy Stuttgart, she conducted a research project at a.pass in Brussels. Her artistic approach is often process-based and involves the audience as participants at different stages. She is interested in creating situations where transformative experiences can take place through the use of atmospheric installations, objects, images and costumes. Her work has been exhibited amongst others at Hebbel am Ufer Berlin, Beursschouwburg Brussels, WoWmen festival, Playground festival, Buda Kortrijk, Something Raw festival, Hors Pistes / Cinema Galeries Brussels. She is currently involved in a research project at Kask Hogeschool and teaches at Luca school of arts.
Anouk Llaurens is a freelance dance artist, dance teacher, researcher and shiatsu practitioner based in Brussels. She is currently leading a research on poetic, polyphonic, and live documentation and completed the a.pass post-master program in 2016. She contributed to the online publication MIND THE DANCE (MTD), a collection of essays, scores and maps that focuses on dance documentation. Anouk is in long-term collaboration with trans-disciplinary artist Julien Bruneau (B). She is also involved in artistic collaborations and researches with Sonia Si Ahmed (BE), Heike Langsdorf (BE), Sabina Holzer (AT) and Helena Dietrich (BE). She teaches at KASK Hogeschool (BE) at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (BE), for Candoco Dance Company and Independent Dance (UK) and at ImpulzTanz Festival (AT).
