Exploring an inhabited and sensitive body, Maxence Rey attempts to reveal a story-telling body, taken as imaginary space, a support for metamorphosis and poetry.
Before becoming a fully choreographic artist , she was a coordinator and a programmatrice for the dance department of the artistic place Mains D’œuvre in saint-Ouen/France, and even before, a computer project manager in the industrial field.
As a performer using the body and the voice, Maxence Rey Works with the complicity of Nicole Mossoux and Patrick bonté/ compagnie Mossoux-Bonté, Isabelle Esposito/compagnie Les Semeurs, Olivier Comte/Les Souffleurs - commandos poétiques, Christian Bourigault/compagnie de l’Alambic, Sèverine Delbosq/compagnie L’Essoreuse, Frédérique Bruyas/Trio Vox Libris, the poet Anne de Commines; and more ponctually Geisha Fontaine and Pierre Cottreau/Mille Plateaux Associés, Kataline Patkaï/Compagnie Patkaï, Marion Coutarel/Théâtre de la Remise.
After a Qi gong training with Laurence Cortadellas and Jean-Michel Chaumet/Zhi Rou Jia, she became a course assistant.
Due to her work as an interpretor and choreographer, she creates workshops linking Qi gong , regarding the body availability, and dance-Theater, dedicated to body movement artists and amateur adults.
In 2010, she created the Betula Lenta association and her first choreogrphic play, the solo Les Bois de l’Ombre. Her second play for three women, Sous ma peau, will be created in automn 2012 in paris.
Meanwhile, she also advises dancer and trapezist Chloé Moglia. on her next play Opus Corpus
She dances and choreographs, the play « Rouge Avril » with author-reader Hélène Lanscotte and stage director Olivier Comte.
