TALE DOLVEN & IGOR SHYSHKOPRINT THIS PAGE
Tale Dolven shares her living and working time between Brussels and Stavanger, Norway. She studied at KHIO in Oslo and at PARTS in Brussels. After her studies she worked with Belgian choreographer Charlotte Vanden Eynde and made her own solo with the mentoring of Robert Steijn. She worked with Norwegian choreographer Sølvi Edvardsen in Asking for. In 2006 Tale joined Rosas and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. With Rosas she did the creations of D’un soir un jour, Steve Reich evening, Zeitung and Golden hours (as you like it). She also retook the repertory pieces over a twelve year engagement with Rosas.
Whilst freelancing for Rosas, Tale has also worked with Frank Vercruyssen and the Belgian theater group TG Stan, Benjamin Vandewalle, Kris Verdonck, Nature Theatre of Oklahoma and Fieldworks. From 2012 on Tale started making her own work with Gabel Eiben and Igor Shyshko.
Igor Shyshko was born in Belarus. He enrolled as a student in the dance department of the Belarusian University of Culture. After four years of study in Belarus, he was admitted to P.A.R.T.S. in 1997. He graduated in 2000 and became a dancer with Rosas that autumn.
In 2010 he left his full-time job at Rosas and started freelancing. The following years he worked with choreographers such as Arco Renz and Marc Vanrunxt.
During his search for a personal dance language and choreography, he created Darling with Moya Michael in 2014. In addition to his artistic work, Igor has always focused on his physical fitness. Upon his arrival in Brussels, he got to know yoga and became a keen practitioner, participating in and giving workshops throughout Europe and India.
