The Day of Dance is an invitation to the general public to become better acquainted with the world of contemporary dance, in order to make this art form better known and loved.
Why a Day of Dance?
Internationally, choreographers and dancers from our region receive a lot of praise and appreciation. Certainly Brussels, and by extension Flanders, has become an important pole of attraction in the international dance landscape. In our own country, however, there is much room for improvement in terms of distribution and visibility.
The Day of Dance is an invitation to the general public to become better acquainted with the world of contemporary dance, in order to make this art form better known and loved. The Day of Dance takes place every year in Brussels and Flanders, on the Saturday before the International Dance Day in April.
