The advancement of machines and the emergence of fast life, have created a new imbalance between the sanctum of nature and the place of human being within it. We are now drifting further and further away from the natural flow of life. This rupture makes us forget ourselves and what position we ought to take in reference to nature. While living in a world of constant competition we must find a new balance in the relation between human being and the nature we have parted from. It is up to us to find new ways to recreate a rhythm that makes the light of life alive again.
Science is necessary to us to understand life and our place in it. Yet within science we must have respect for the laws of nature. In that natural law the magnetic field is given a huge role in all current movements in and of the universe. To understand our momentum of body with gravity is of the utmost importance. Without gravity and its magnetic field, we wouldn’t be able to walk the earth. Without magnetic energy the universe wouldn’t exist. Nowadays the momentum of natural law is disturbed by the misuse of natural laws as they are now recreated by human beings. While tampering with the magnetic field of animals known as Biomagnetism, many animals, birds and plants have died as man changed or even destroyed the law of magnetic field/sensation. Human being rely on the same energy… Ariane Loze and Surjit Nongmeikapam will explore and experiment with this misuse and its consequences further after their previous collaboration on a bell installation attached to their bodies in BOZAR. Their residency in Workspacebrussels will entail a more in depth period of research around magnets employed by their bodies.
