TAFELTAFELPRINT THIS PAGE
TAFEL is a communal table of content where we eat, work, write, draw and sew. By using TAFEL, certain subjects and objects get valued, without forgetting the continuous instability and shifting of their meaning and image.
TAFEL shows work-in-progress and in-between links and connects the things we love.
TAFEL is created by Neri De Meester and Maud Gyssels, for now only existing as a website. During their residency in Workspacebrussels they aim to concretize the table conceptually and physically. The result is manifold and transient:
TAFEL can be transformed, expanded or exchanged at any moment. It will become a hybrid form, floating between an online platform and real life matter and encounters. A multifunctional table will be the starting point to connect concepts and ideas. Its appearance and materiality will be explored and as time passes by, forms will follow functions.
TAFEL kindly invites every one to gather around the table, take a seat, eat, write, talk, or do the dishes.
At the end of the residency, TAFEL will be presented and the upcoming program announced.
