- TO IMAGE - SHARING PRACTICES
TO IMAGE - SHARING PRACTICESPRINT THIS PAGE
For her residency at Workspacebrussels, Carlotta Scioldo invites dancer Claudia Catarzi and performer Caroline Daish for two weeks of sharing practices. The underpinning approach consists of exchanging their bodily practices finding possible outcomes into other medias.
The proposition consists of exploring further the relationship between “imaginary”, “image” and “landscape” through bodily practice and the left traces of this process. The booklet 'TO IMAGE - dramaturgy of the vision' (published by a.pass in the 2014) is a remainder of this research and it will be taken as a point of departure. Images, body and words are here used to devise the path of a journey for the viewer. The aim of this travel is to reflect on the perception as a creative act (conscious and unconscious), a transformation of what we perceive.
Exploring our image production starts with the question: “what remains after an image?”
Answers are searched in imagination, imagery, memory, perception, places... The shared residency will also offer the possibility to look for performative formats of collective readings of the booklet.
With Carlotta Scioldo, Caroline Daish and Claudia Catarzi.
