We Do MatterNick Steur

While Steur’s work dawns from a fascination with natural material such as stone and water, Matea Bakula produces sculptures of a more synthetic nature. Both artists are intrigued by the effects a small intervention can generate to material. A rock that had centuries to form, is now submitted to the craftsmanship of splitting and the alchemy of reunification. We Do Matter is both an auditory and visual performance, in which we are invited to watch the artists examine the dynamics of matter in full concentration. They are currently creating this performance in KANS – Kunst Atelier Nick Steur.
