Choreographer Melih Kiraç has not only worked with artists such as Meg Stuart and Marc Vanrunxt, he also spawns his own reflections and research into performances. The focal point of Melih’s work is the habitat of people; in what way does that environment shape its inhabitants? On Working Title Festival the work in progress ‘Hal’ will be brought to you as a political statement on the situation in Istanbul. What if all words and letters on a protest sign would slowly fade into the white surface of that board? If they would sink into that blank space, what would this protest sign still signify? Can the faces of a protesting crowd demonstrate the political discourse at hand without the clear written message?

Concept/Choreography/Performance : Melih Kiraç
Coproduction : workspacebrussels, Ciplak Ayaklar Kumpanyasi
In collaboration with : Les Brigittines
