Working Title Festival 2019

On 28 and 29 June a new edition of the biannual Working Title Festival will take place at workspacebrussels, Kaaistudio's and Kanal - Centre Pompidou. Expect an exciting mix of projects in different phases of the creative process: creations, research and conversations at the intersection of dance, performance, video art and installation.

At workspacebrussels no space will be left unused. From top to bottom our house will be occupied by the artists' work. Niko Hafkenscheid & Valentina Stepanova, Wouter Krokaert, Kim Snauwaert & Anyuta Wiazemsky and Emi Kodama & Elias Heuninck are presenting ongoing installations and exhibitions to be discovered for free throughout the entire festival.

Next door at the Kaaistudio's Kosi Hidama will set up an interior garden and Nazanin Fakoor will immerse you in her performative installation Rainbow. In the evenings you can see work-in-progress, avant-premieres and performances by Anneleen Keppens, Dan Mussett & Laurent Delom, Gosie Vervloessem, Wouter Krokaert and Kasper Vandenberghe.

During Working Title Festival we like to take our time to dig a little deeper and to wander beyond the well-trodden paths. The salon Perspectives on landscape invites the festival artists along with the audience to question and discuss the notion of landscape that connects most of the artists' work.

We conclude this edition at Kanal - Centre Pompidou with a spectacular ritual by Kasper Vandenberghe. As a part of his three-piece work Calculated Risk, the artist will drop down like a rock from a height of 4.20 meters.

Have a nice festival!
