Gastresidentie in het kader van Bâtard

Tijdens deze residentie onderzoekt Christian Yav de interdisciplinaire fusie tussen beweging, songs en geluid. Het eerste deel van het onderzoek gebeurde bij Theater Rotterdam, dit tweede deel gebeurt bij de Kaaistudio's.

'In my work I start from the need to delve into other dimensions, domains where my experience and existence is the starting point. A choice in how I want to portray myself in space to stand in my own strength. At the same time, I strive to participate in storytelling in an authentic way.

This approach leads me to create work that I would have wanted to see when I was younger while simultaneously changing the narratives often associated with my existence.’
