Francesca Chiodi Latini
Bio
Born in Torino, Italy in 1993, Francesca Chiodi Latini is a performer and choreographer based in Leuven, Belgium. After pursuing her Bachelor in Dance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in 2017, she’s been working for Voetvolk/Lisbeth Gruwez, taking part in different productions as performer as well as rehearsal director: Nomadics (2023), Into the Open (2022) and The Sea Within (2018).
Between 2019 and 2022 wpZimmer supported her artistic trajectory as a maker. Her first creation JARDIN POILU premiered at the C-Takt festival in 2020 in C-Mine and was performed during Love At First Sight 2020 and Dans in Brugge in 2022. The concept of the piece was pitched during the Roel Verniers Price in 2017 in the context of het TheaterFestival. She also directed and choreographed the interactive concert for families roundABOUT#Indrė by Zonzo Compagnie in 2022.
Francesca has previously performed for Virgilio Sieni (Atlante del Gesto, Prada Foundation Milan, 2015), Marcelo Evelin (Batucada, kunstenfestivaldesarts 2014) and Corinne Lanselle (Room 83, Paris, 2013). She is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher since 2021.
