GASTSTUBE°

GASTSTUBE

Bio

The collective GASTSTUBE° is an artistic meeting point of Beatrice Fleischlin, Nicolas Galeazzi, and Andreas Liebmann. Together they have developed the soil of their artistic practices since 2001. Until 2009 they were experimenting with personally challenging research projects and toured with a particular style of theater and performance formats through Europe and beyond. After a long break, they launched their collaboration in 2019. Curious about what the past decade and the separate living contexts - now Copenhagen, Basel, Berlin and Brussels - did to their lives, they explore over distance the fragile possibilities of existence in the ruins of capitalism and imagine practices for collective survival. GASTSTUBE° shares their research and experience through performances, workshops, and other micro-conferences. Their projects are invitations to practice presence and design futures.

The goal of GASTSTUBE° is to create time and space to experiment with new cultures of togetherness. In that sense, inviting became a working methodology. Working on distance, they ‘invite’ each other and audience into practicing the commitment to mindful and resource-saving action on multiple levels (time, relationships, money, fossil fuels, and other materials).
