Bio

Maisie Woodford (2000) is a dancer, performer and maker originally from the UK. She began her training on the CAT (Centre for Advanced Training) scheme at the London Contemporary Dance School and joined the National Youth DanceCompany in 2017-18, working with Sharon Eyal. Maisie moved to Belgium to continue her dance studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, from which she graduated in June 2022. Maisie has since been offered an understudy role with Jan Martens for his piece Any Attempt Will End in Crushed Bodies and Shattered Bones, which is touring internationally in 2023. She has also worked with Studio NAXOS in Frankfurt on a video project, has choreographed for Kunsthumaniora in Antwerp, and will soon begin residency with the Gabriadze Puppet Company in Tbilisi, to create her solo Mud Mother for the europalia georgia festival. She has recently worked with Moya Michael and David Hernandez as a guest artist at the KVS, and in September 2023, she begins a new creation with Kinga Jaczewska. Her creative interests lie in the realm of physical comedy and theatre, and how the body can be uniquely narrative.

Projects
