Nakami

In Nakami Ikue Nakagawa translates her series of drawings 'ça va pas' using scenography and the body.

Ikue Nakagawa - Nakami 16:9

This series of drawings represent all her thoughts, and triggered an intense discussion with herself. The drawings often depict a character, a kind of alter-ego that appears in sometimes absurd, sometimes dreamlike, disturbing or cheerful forms and settings.

Central to this work is the phenomenon of shadow, both physically and intimately. Two protagonists are on stage: Nakagawa and her shadow. A play of light is created in which a whole of combinations and interactions, appearances, disappearances, disappearances and scale changes, take place between the different versions of herself.
