Qui Parle? / Wie Spreekt?

For both artists, pluridisciplinarity is essential to their work.

They decide to deepen their collaboration in a deliberately dilated, stretched temporality, and in diversified work contexts like itinerant conversations, memories of reading and gardening, correspondence and collages. This way they build a common and spontaneous corpus of images, a mental map that they activate and explore without direction, questioning each other's discipline and advancing into a priori unknown territory.

The project Qui parle? / Wie spreekt? puts the female voice at the forefront. It questions the female voice’s timbre, language and accent, whatever its origin and address. Cultural appropriation and de-identification are issues that cut across the works of Latifa Laâbissi and Manon de Boer, whose paths and identities are themselves multiple. On the edge of documentary and fiction, the tensions of the scenarios and situations invoked will give rise to a triptych of film, installation and performance.
