Water_l’atterrée des eaux vives

Water_l’atterrée des eaux vives is a performative oddyssee, the one of becoming black.
The tryptic explores the tensions lying into the perceptions we have of a female racialized body. Shifting through black history figures and its own imaginary of blackness, the body becomes the hanging object between the how it’s been perceived and the how it expresses.

Castélie Yalombo - water 16:9

Navigating the trouble of double belongings, this performative poem comments the racial experience of the self, exploring bones and flesh’s corporeality; using poetics of water, ceramics (in collaboration with Sophie Farza), masks and clown’s connection to the observant. The audience is taken apart, half tormenter, half hostage.
