Composities in het wilde weg

Coproduction 2019

Composities in het wilde weg (Savage compositions) is a serene, refined experience that does not focus on spectacle but on tactile and poetic subtlety.

As a spectator you are invited to create time and an eye for sensitive details in light, movement and spatiality. By activating the scene slightly differently each time, the space transforms and changing meanings arise.

Visual artist and choreographer Wouter Krokaert is on stage with dancers Charlotte Vanden Eynde and Katja Dreyer and also uses elements from his visual work as an opponent. By combining all these elements he creates a fascinating translation of his drawings, photographs and sculptures on stage.

Info & reservations

  • This event is free but reservation is required. Reservations can be made by sending an email to Giette Hulsbosch. Please state whether you're attending the performance by yourself or with your bubble.
  • A drink if offered after the performance, at your personal table.

In extension of the performance, Wouter Krokaert also shows the visual work that underlies it. Pencil drawings, photographs and objects embody the research that has preceded. What is explored in one area is reinforced and supplemented in another, across the boundaries of disciplines. The work shown is always a retreat, a moment where time is taken – and given – to consider the correlations between things.

The exhibition opens on 12 September at 7.30pm and can also be visited during office hours or when there's an evening event at Dommelhof.
