Ping-Hsiang Wang
Bio
Ping-Hsiang Wang is a theatre maker from Taiwan and co-founder of the performance collective k*hole karaoke with US writer Travis Jeppesen. The collective investigates how human behaviour is reshaped by material, digital, environmental, and commercial systems, interrogating how late capitalism and mediated experience influence perception, desire, and action.
Wang’s aesthetic transforms the everyday into uncanny, hyperreal landscapes. His works fuse language, movement, sound, live-streaming, objects, and scenography to create immersive architectures where narrative is layered, unstable, and continually remade. His most recent work, Retina Maneuver, premiered to critical acclaim, was selected as one of Artforum.com’s Editors’ Picks – Best of 2024, and has toured internationally, with presentations at major venues and festivals in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Canada, and beyond. The tour is ongoing.

Employee of the Month
A cringe-core view on human migration through the experiences of a bunny mascot. How can satire, performance, and the absurd open space for thinking about national identity, cultural aspiration, and the contradictions of global labour?
