Ika Schwander

French-Dutch director and performer Ika Schwander prefers to work at the interface between different media, including film, performance and installation art. Ika studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in London and the performance course at Maastricht's Toneelacademie (2023). Before this, she interned with Jan Decorte and Sigrid Vinks (Jamais je n'oublierai la mort) and Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe (Madrigals). She stood out with her graduation performance é vero é vero, about the aftermath and timelessness of sexual violence, later shown at various stages and festivals including Frascati, Theater aan Zee, Monty and Theater im Pumpenhaus (Münster).
