Bio

Margot Masquelier, born in 1995, began her dance journey at the age of four. She completed her formal ballet training at the Conservatory of Toulouse, France, before advancing her studies in contemporary dance with the Junior Company of CobosMika in Spain. She then continued her education at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in Belgium. Now based in Brussels, she is a versatile freelance dancer, performer, and researcher.

From 2018 to 2022, she collaborated on various projects with Samuel Baidoo, Machias Bosschaert, and Pieter Desmet within The Backyard Collective. She has also worked with Astrid De Haes, Moreen Reor, and Tuur Marinus. Since 2022, she has developed an enduring collaboration with Miet Warlop, and in 2024, she continues her artistic journey with Rebekka Vanderhaeghen, Lieselot Siddiki, Ruben Mardulier, Micha Goldberg, and Maud Le Pladec.

Since 2019, she has been involved in teaching, coaching, choreography, costume design, and artistic assistance; however, her primary focus remains performance. Since 2023, she has been working on an ongoing project to document the realities of artists’ lives and address the persistent paradox of precarity and elitism within the art world through mixed media.
