Sophia Dinkel

Sophia Dinkel (1995, Switzerland) is a dancer and performer. She received a classical education in dance and piano in Geneva and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance from Codarts in 2018. Since then, she has worked as a performer with, amongst others, Emio Greco, Emanuel Gat, Nacera Belaza, Kris Verdonck and Tino Sehgal. Between 2020 and 2023, she was a full-time dancer with Rosas, led by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, with whom she toured internationally with repertoire works such as Drumming and En Attendant, and collaborated on creations for black-box and museum contexts, including Mystery Sonatas, Dark Red Project Beyeler and Dark Red Project Louvre Lens. In 2024, she co-created Partager le Vide with Marie Goudot, which was presented at venues including CND Paris, Ménagerie de Verre, CNDC Angers, TAP Poitiers and Kaaistudio’s. In 2025, she collaborated with Ivan Cheng on a video work and performance, and today she is active in the Brussels freelance dance scene with projects by, amongst others, Ula Sickle and Lara Barsacq.
