Syreeta Hector

Syreeta Hector is a dance artist and educator in Toronto, Canada. As a highly accomplished performer, Hector has worked for internationally recognized companies like Citadel + Compagnie, Toronto Dance Theatre, and Danny Grossman Dance Company. Within these companies she has performed the work of Deborah Hay, Etienne Guilloteau, as well as Jean-Pierre Perreault. Hector is a graduate of the The National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program, and achieved her Master of Arts in Dance Studies from York University. Currently, Syreeta is one of the RBC Emerging Creators in Residence at Canadian Stage, and her work called Black Ballerina has most recently won the Research and Development Award through the Stratford Festival.
