Yav

Yav, originally from Congo, is a singer, songwriter, producer, movement artist, and model. Over the years, he has worked as a dancer with various choreographers in the contemporary dance field. In mid-2018, he began his career as a choreographer. Yav has been featured as an artist in VOGUE NL, i-D, GLAMCULT, and Numéro Netherlands.

In 2020, he was listed in NRC's Top 101 of upcoming talent in the Dance category. Since mid-2021, Yav has been composing his own music for his projects. He has worked as a model for brands such as Armani and Marc Jacobs, and participated in Black is King, a film by Beyoncé, as a choreographer and dancer. Yav has also worked as a movement director for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Daily Paper.

In August 2021, he premiered his latest performance work Movements of Soul, which was selected for Aerowaves 2024. In February 2024, Yav released his first single, WHY. In March, he released his EP ERUPTION.
