Crush

Crush is an ongoing research tracing the impact of a choreography of resonances. The artists’ departure point is centred around embodying a kinaesthetic physicality grounded in constant body pulsations — a technology of affection that speculates notions of inseparability and interconnectedness. They are mapping how channelling energy through these pulsations in the body and in relationship can encapsulate ideas of resistance and continuity, serving as a catalyst for gradual, transformative change.

During the residency the artists focus on how to shape-shift this system of interaction that gradually updates the landscape In an attempt to reassess preconceived stereotypes, and to touch base on societal projections over women, particularly within the context of a female couple dynamic.

Currently, Crush blurs the lines between reality and fiction, allowing us to speculate and elaborate beyond the constructs that mould our identities, desires, and togetherness.
