How can inventing a stew recipe together be the catalyst for a conversation about contemporary challenges around democracy and ecology?

Two visionary anthropologists/cooks from the future land in a container at the Abattoir site in Anderlecht. Their mission is to develop the perfect recipe for the ‘Endless Stew’. The Endless Stew is a stew that never stops simmering and can be seen as a monument to circular collaboration. A moment that reminds us that not everything has to be finite and linear.

To democratically realise this stew, the anthropologists/cooks are organising a theatrical ‘stew conference’. Speakers representing the diversity of the Abattoir site are invited to dream along about the constitutions that can guarantee the infinite survival of the ragout circularly. How will the Endless Stew stay at the right temperature, not run out, remain safe to eat ánd tasty? Forever?

The conference will be followed by a celebratory unveiling of the Endless Stew and its constitution, after which the anthropologists/cooks will travel back to the future to find out whether the Ragout Circular is still simmering.
