found, flight explores disguise and deception, beginning with the pixelated military uniform and the medium of the (green) screen. What these two share — the pixel pattern and green screen technique — is an interest in obscuring and revealing aspects of vision, both human and machine. They are also, at their core, pieces of fabric, and as such, they point to the tactile quality of the image itself. The work investigates tensions between sameness and difference in urban design, uniforms, and various masculine codes.

Through research into the movements and simulations of training and combat as performed in the military, the artist seeks to study how masculinity is imposed within military settings, and how militarised and seemingly de-militarised (civilian) spaces are architecturally and choreographically intertwined — for example, in cities designed for the mobility of tanks and soldiers, or in how playgrounds and public exercise areas echo the repetitive, game-like qualities of obstacle courses.
