Discover the next generation of Brussels performing artists at the new city festival It Takes a City. Four Dutch-speaking and four French-speaking organisations join forces to showcase new and young talent across linguistic, cultural and regional boundaries.

Are you a seasoned performing arts fan? Or are you just curious about what the Brussels arts landscape has to offer? Every two years, It Takes a City creates a dynamic space spread across the city where everyone has the chance to enjoy and discover.

This first edition brings dance, theatre and performance by Benjamin Khan, buren, Carolina Mendonça, Castélie Yalombo Lilonge, Jonas Chéreau, Khadija El Kharraz Alami, Lila Magnin, Lisa Vereertbrugghen, Marthe Degaille, Milø Slayers, Némo Camus & Robson Ledesma, Rosie Sommers & Micha Goldberg, and Sophia Rodriguez.

Workspacebrussels co-presents Zones of Resplendence by Carolina Mendonça and shoe/farm - prelude by buren.

It Takes a City is curated by Atelier 210, La Balsamine, Beursschouwburg, Charleroi danse / La Raffinerie, Les Halles de Schaerbeek, Kaaitheater, Kunstenwerkplaats & workspacebrussels. The festival is supported by the Vlaamse Gemeenschap, the Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie, the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Wallonie-Bruxelles Internationale, Wallonie-Bruxelles Théatre Danse, the City of Brussels, COCOF, the Brussels-Capital Region, HUB & Kunstenpunt.
