Offestival 2026 Opening Night

Offestival 2026 is a do-it-ourselves, artist-run festival celebrating Brussels’ independent art scene. It takes place over four weeks and five weekends in spring, from 15 May to 14 June 2026.

Initiated by Garage29, a space for emerging choreography renamed Metarage in 2025, Offestival has been organised since 2013 as a call to peer collectives to come and show together. It is now joined by Becue, a St Gilles bakery house and a collectively run space for art, social practice, and food.

The idea of Offestival is simple: to synchronize and mix the programmes of befriended artist-run spaces, collectives, and initiatives across all artistic disciplines and a wide range of activities, including performances, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, reading groups, dinners, conversations, parties, and who knows what else. Through shared communication and a spirit of collaboration, Offestival makes visible the richness of local, self-organized practices and makes them accessible to all.

Three choreographers, supported by Metarage, are participating in a two-week co-residency culminating in a public event.

A blend of three artistic worlds, a pronounced taste for music, rhythms, and samples. A desire to grapple with text, writing, and the obsession with words. Something repeats itself, like so many ripples that triangulate between these three hypnotic artists. Their salty encounter floats on the high tide of a festival opening and drifts weightlessly through the opening of an exhibition of 10 artists presented by SB34.
