Workshop: We Are Animated Soil
The workshop traces somatic speculative fictions in our bodies as a method of writing songs for the land. You will collaborate with local plants to awaken deep tissue memory from before we learned that nature is something other than ourselves. We will sing bad karaoke in a choir, move our bodies, write songs, meet plants outside and cook together.
Plants pull the clouds and hold water on a planetary scale.
Plants offer food, shelter and warmth.
Plants enable us to breathe.
The workshop is hosted by artist Kai Merke as part of their international residency in Brussels.
- The workshop is free but registration is required.
- The maximum capacity is 15 participants.
- Bring warm and comfortable clothes, a notebook and a vegetable.
