Young Dreams
Dreams, invisible stories, and sounds that are interlinked with our memory run through the piece. The two performers on stage have spent time weaving and crafting a world in which sound and movement collide. The opening scene is a reminiscent act between the two performers, inviting the audience to delve into their world. In Young Dreams, the choreography focuses on small gestures, and the connection between them. Often the performers are seen to be still; at other times they follow, speculate, trace a memory.
Young Dreams is a collaboration with Laure Betris, a Swiss-Iraqi musician and composer based in Switzerland. Her work often explores themes such as memory, degeneration, exile, and transmission. She regularly collaborates with other artists on exhibition, dance, and performance projects.
