Dan Mussett

Bio

Dan Mussett (BE/UK) is a freelance dancer, choreographer and writer based in Brussels. He trained as a dancer in Spain and Belgium, where he graduated in 2017 from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Since then, he has worked as a dancer for various choreographers such as Ayelen Parolin and Jan Martens. On top of this, he has made several of his own choreographic works exploring the effects of digital technologies on the body, most recently Fully Automated Luxury Dancing! (2025), a dance show choreographed by a chatbot. His works have been shown at Europalia Festival, Jonge Harten Festival, STUK, and Dansand, amongst others. He also writes, both poetry and non-fiction, and has had several poems published in magazines such as The Moth and The Rialto. He recently started to write dance criticism, contributing to a recent edition of e-tcetera. He is a regular teaching staff member at the Conservatory of Antwerp.
