Houcem Bouakroucha
Bio
Houcem Bouakroucha began dancing at the age of 14 as a hip-hop dancer (Bboy). Fascinated by the presence of art in his life through hip-hop, he sought to explore other forms of dance and developed a passion for contemporary dance. He enrolled in the dance program at the Centre Méditerranéen de Danse Contemporaine, which transformed him into a dancer and performer with Sybel-ballet-Théâtre, a Tunisian company directed by Syhem Belkhodja. Houcem went on to perform at numerous national and international festivals, including the Festival d'Avignon, Tanz im August, and Roma Europa, working with choreographers such as Radhouane El Meddeb, Hamdi Dridi, and Emily Schoen. His experience with various dance companies has given him a wealth of knowledge, which he now shares by teaching dance classes and workshops for amateurs and professionals. Houcem continues to collaborate with artists and create his own projects, including Bon Deuil! with Feteh Khiari and Ayoub Bouzidi.
